New Post: Video just freezes when I try to play it using Serviio container on Aquos TV

I have a Windows 7 Toshiba laptop with Serviio installed and it does connect to the Aquos LED TV set but most video files simply will not play and just freeze. Transcoding doesn't seem to do anything either...
Please help...

Keep in mind a path change can confuse Serviio server. I unplugged the external hard drive I had my movies on for a few days, upon replugging it, it went from d: to g: (ie. d:\Movies\General_Movies to g:\Movies\General_Movies) It will still allow you to navigate through the folders, but you will see Empty folders. So you either need to delete and rethread the folders, or go into windows and rename the drive letter back to D:

Could it be used this way ?Do I need any licenses ?

I'm running into the same thing I think.

I can't figure out how to install without uninstalling.

Only option in the settings for me is uninstall.

Suggestions?

So far so good. It went pretty seamless for me as far as an update.

kborchert, Was it successful? I had to reinstall my server for other reasons so I'll be installing 1.0.1 now anyway. Is the add-in working properly?

If the dev is reading this, I'd be interested in beta testing any new versions if you need any help. (whs 2k3)

Could somebody please tell me how to update to serviio 1.0.1?

Do I just keep the existing "serviio for WHS" add-in and only de-install serviio 0.62 and then install the new version 1.0.1 on the WHS?

Will the old console add-in work fine with the new version of serviio or should I wait for an update of the WHS console add-in?

I recently had problems with the add-in after an update to Java 7 (service not starting) and had to keep Java 6. Any changes here?

Ok I bit the bullet and did the upgrade. I will let everyone know if I ran into problems but so far it looks fine.

I'd like to know the same. I have had 0.6.2 running fine on my WHSv1 for a long time and don't want to mess it up. Anyone tried it yet?

With the release of both a free and now paid version of Serviio, has anyone done any compatibility testing yet? If so, could you share your results? I plan on upgrading shortly and will share my results.

The folder “ProgramData” doesn’t exist. Interesting, I tried to search in explorer to locate “Dashboard.log” but search doesn’t function either. Next problem was trying to install no Java 6 and errors on trying to download. I’ll try some of the forums and see if I can get closer to a solution.

Just installed the latest serviio version for WHS v1 . I had to reinstall the program files to my data drive because the database files filled up my system drive. All had been fine until WHS reports about a dozen open database files. What do I need to do to fix this problem? Thanks for the great software.

Just wanted to give a big hand of applause to the creators of this add-in!! Installed it in my home network (HP Mediasmart Server EX 475 slightly modified...., Netgear GS724T switch, to Samsung LE55C655, 2 x WD HDTV Live, 1 x Boxee Box, 1 x PS3, 1 x Xbox360. It works like a charm - right through, and simultaneously :D
